Browser-local subtitle utility
Free transcript to SRT formatter
Turn prepared transcript paragraphs into a starter SRT cue sheet. The estimated times are scaffolding; align every cue to the media before publishing.

Method and limits
Use the result as a measurement, not a promise.
- Correct the transcript against the original media first.
- Separate intended cues with blank lines, or use one sentence per line.
- Choose an estimated reading pace and gap, then format the transcript.
- Download the starter SRT and align every cue in a subtitle editor while watching the media.
Why the timing is only a draft
This tool has no access to the media and does not perform speech recognition. It estimates cue duration from text length, enforces a minimum readable duration, and places cues sequentially. Real speech, pauses, edits, speaker changes, cuts, music, and platform rules will differ.
For a valid delivery, check cue sequence, timestamp syntax, UTF-8 encoding, overlap, line length, reading speed, sound information, and complete playback in the destination player.
Browser-local by design
The text entered into this tool is processed by JavaScript in your browser. The page does not send that text to the Voice Typing Aid contact endpoint. Optional page analytics, if you consent, measures page interactions rather than the contents of the text fields.
