VTA Dictate Windows voice productivity features

VTA Dictate brings everyday dictation, meeting capture, audio transcription, useful notes, and subtitle export into one focused desktop app.

Speak wherever you normally type

Put the cursor in a standard Windows text input, start dictation with your preferred shortcut, mouse control, or voice phrase, and speak naturally. VTA Dictate turns your speech into editable text for documents, email, browser forms, chat apps, AI prompts, and other everyday writing.

A visible listening state keeps the interaction easy to understand. When a program blocks direct text insertion, clipboard paste provides a practical fallback instead of leaving your words stranded inside a separate editor.

Turn recordings into something useful

Record permitted system and microphone audio or open an existing WAV, MP3, or M4A file. Local transcription produces editable text with timestamps and optional positional speaker labels, so a long conversation becomes much easier to search and review.

From the same transcript, create a concise summary, pull out action items, suggest a useful title, or export timed SRT and VTT subtitle files. The original recording and editable transcript remain available when you need to check the wording.

Fit the controls to your routine

Use a keyboard shortcut when your hands are already near the keys, map a mouse button for push-to-talk, or use a voice phrase for a more hands-free workflow. Always Listening mode keeps pending speech in a temporary memory buffer until you choose to send or discard it.

Core recognition and analysis happen on your Windows computer. Internet access can still be used for initial setup, model downloads, license activation, software updates, support links, and any optional website analytics you accept.
