The workflow stays familiar: speak, review, and use the result. Dictate into a document or conversation, capture audio when you have permission, correct the transcript, turn it into a short summary or action list, and export the format that fits the next step.

Controls that fit the way you work

A global keyboard shortcut works well for quick replies. A mapped mouse button makes push-to-talk feel immediate. Toggle mode suits longer passages, while a configured voice phrase can support a more hands-free setup.

Always Listening mode holds pending speech in a temporary memory buffer until you use your send phrase or discard it. It is separate from meeting recording and gives you a way to compose by voice without repeatedly reaching for a control.

Speech work stays close to the source

Recognition, file transcription, positional speaker labeling, and note analysis run on your Windows computer. That keeps the core voice workflow local and avoids sending each recording to a browser service for processing.

Initial setup, model downloads, license activation, updates, support links, and optional diagnostics can still use an internet connection. Local processing also creates local files, so Windows account security, backups, shared folders, and deletion habits remain important.

VTA Dictate costs $49 once for one person to use on up to three personal computers. Updates in the VTA Dictate 1.x line are included. A separate future product or major version line may be offered as an optional purchase; your existing license remains yours.
