Capture the conversation on your PC
Select the system audio and microphone sources that belong in the recording, choose where the file should be saved, and start when everyone has the required notice or permission. Because the capture happens at the Windows audio layer, the workflow can support many meeting and call setups without adding a visible participant to the room.
A clear recording state and easy stop control matter as much as the start button. Pause when the conversation moves outside the agreed purpose, and tell late joiners before continuing.
Create a searchable local transcript
Once the recording ends, local transcription turns it into editable text. Timestamps make it easier to return to the original audio, while optional Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 labels give structure to multi-person conversations without trying to recognize individual identities.
Review names, numbers, specialist language, and important decisions against the audio. A transcript is a working aid, not an infallible record, especially when people overlap or the room is noisy.
Leave with the decisions, not just the recording
Create a short summary, extract action items, and give the session a useful title. Keep the full transcript nearby when a detail matters, and edit the notes before sending them to the group.
