What “bot-free” does—and does not—mean
The phrase generally describes a capture experience without a separate bot account joining the participant roster. A desktop app, browser extension, or audio-layer tool may instead work on the user’s device or in the browser. That can change setup and meeting appearance.
It does not remove consent, disclosure, workplace, platform, confidentiality, security, or retention obligations. People should know when they are being recorded or transcribed as required by the situation.

Choose by capture path and downstream job

Include the people responsible for privacy, records, security, accessibility, and the destination system.
Choose the capture path that fits your meeting platforms, devices, sharing routine, and the place where action items need to land next.
